Vesper Lynd was a foreign liaison agent from the HM Treasury’s Financial Action Task Force, assigned to make sure that Bond adequately managed the funds provided by MI6. Lynd was played by Eva Green in Craig’s first outing as Bond in Casino Royale in 2006. We see Vesper Lynd in the title screen which of course hits you right in the heart. Initially like many others I too was sceptical about the new Bond theme, but it fitted the title screen and the feel of the film perfectly. Then it enters the title screen with the wonderful Writings on the Wall by Sam Smith.
This opening scene keeps every viewer in the cinema on the edge of their seat. Bond follows and in the ensuing struggle he throws both Sciarra and the pilot out of the helicopter, stealing Sciarra’s octopus ring as he does so. Bond gives chase to Marco Sciarra, who survived the blast Sciarra boards a helicopter to escape. James Bond played by Daniel Craig kills two men arranging to blow up a stadium in doing so the building they are in explodes and collapses. Spectre opens up with bustling carnival scene in Mexico. I went to see the film and I was impressed. Over the past few weeks everywhere you look there have been posters, adverts and stories advertising the latest James Bond Film, ‘Spectre’.
